The past few months it would go completely dark and come back slightly when it got hot out. Now it is just permanently out.AM FM Radio problem. 2 weeks ago I purchased a 2021 Sliverado RST. Because my local dealer did not have any Sliverados in stock & did not want to try to get on from another dear, I bought it from a dealer about 2 hours away. Before I left the dealership, the salesman went through setting up, My Chevy, my phone, Onstar & XM.I changed my battery this morning. The old one was toast. Put in a Deka 778DT. The swap was fine. Nothing abnormal about it. But when I went to drive the truck the radio didn't work. The screen doesn't come on. The buttons don't light up when I turn on the headlights. The buttons DO come on for 4-5 seconds when I hit the power button.If the auto dim feature still works then it's not a wiring issue, so unless the display got shut off it's an internal mirror problem. These mirrors are not serviceable as far as I know. The good news is, if your mirror is shot, you should be able to find a nice replacement on ebay for, maybe $30-50 dollars.
